We now have the opportunity for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our Tatura-based team.

About the Opportunity

Joining a team that provides a centre of excellence in strategic asset management, the role includes providing expertise across the Goulburn Murray Irrigation Delivery (GMID) network and on the 23 water storages that GMW operates and maintains.

As one of our Electrical Engineers, you will be part of an experienced engineering team providing engineering advice and support to the whole of GMW. Working alongside civil and mechanical engineers, you will provide support to staff across our storages and delivery network.

You will work with your team and other parts of the organisation to support the maintenance and improvement of our assets. It’s a great time to make the move to regional Victoria for a different lifestyle, career opportunities and challenges.

Your role will include:

• Provision of electrical engineering expertise to GMW’s various business units;
• Provision of technical input into the development of projects from options investigation through to functional design stage associated with the Water Delivery and Water Storage divisions of our organisation;
• Through the provision of engineering expertise, identify opportunities for innovation and efficiency through the asset design process;
• Maintain appropriate Asset Management Plans to inform GMW’s proposed investment (maintenance and capital); and 
• Support the development and application of technical standards for the organisation.

About You

We are looking for an experienced and qualified Electrical Engineer who is eligible to hold a Victorian Engineering Registration. 

You will have a strong understanding of Australian electrical standards. You will also have extensive technical experience in design or project management for industrial components, as well as excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate with a diverse range of people.
